Biography

Shirley Wong is a clinical pharmacist practicing at FQHC clinics and delivering care to patients' homes via Pharm2Home Initiative. She researched diabetes distress as a Master's student and later completed her pharmacy degree at the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. She returned as a pharmacy resident to work on the Pharm2Home Initiative, where she is directly involved with patient recruitment, clinical appointments, precepting rotation students, and developing research projects. She is very passionate about educating her patients, helping them understand their disease states, and figuring out how to lower their medication costs. Working with the community and helping them navigate their challenges is what motivates her every day.
