Touro responds to the needs of our community while simultaneously offering valuable clinical experience for our students. Osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health and physician assistant students work together across our clinics and programs to offer high-quality care to local residents who need it most.

TouroCares MVP

The TouroCARES MVP program helps underserved communities overcome barriers to vaccination by taking the clinics to them.

The Child and Adult Resource Education and Support Mobile Vaccination Program, or CARES MVP, has partnered with Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health and Solano Public Health to improve vaccination rates in underserved communities by setting up mobile clinics in churches, elementary and middle schools and other neighborhood sites to make accessibility as easy as possible.

Drug Safe Solano

Drug Safe Solano (DSS) provides education, resources and training to help reduce the impact of the opioid epidemic. DSS is a 40-member coalition that represent a multidisciplinary approach to public health, including healthcare systems, pharmacies, and law enforcement groups, with action teams dedicated to expanding access to medication assisted treatments, MAT, as well as Narcan trainings offered throughout the county.

SolanoConnex

SolanoConnex is a partnership between Touro University California and Solano County to improve resident and provider access to existing mental and emotional health services. Through development of a web app, solanoconnex.org, users can locate more than 100 service providers located throughout Solano.

Student-Run Free Clinic

The Student-Run Free Clinic (SRFC) is organized and staffed by students from Touro University California and directly supervised on-site by licensed clinicians. The SRFC was developed to foster a relationship between the community of Vallejo and Touro University by providing a valuable resource for residents of Vallejo completely free of charge. The clinic provides medical screenings, seasonal vaccines, Osteopathic examination and treatment, and other services. Working with local stakeholders.

Solano County Clinics

In partnership with Solano County Public Health, we offer services at four adult and pediatric clinics across the county. Our mission is to provide quality patient care in a compassionate, timely, and confidential manner, emphasizing holistic, osteopathic principles, preventative health care, patient education and shared decision making.
