Alisa Danyeur

Alisa Danyeur joined Touro University California’s College of Pharmacy in May 2007 as the Executive Assistant and Curriculum Support Manager to the Dean.

She is responsible for supporting the Dean and the College in administrative capacities and as office manager for the College as well as supporting pharmacy students in organizing events with them and for them.

Danyeur received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Adolescent Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Once she graduated from UMass, she decided to head west and spent a rainy winter in Eugene, Oregon.

Danyeur realized that her interests in landing a job were similar to those of the many college students graduating from the University of Oregon, so she headed south to the Bay Area to temporarily live with family -- and never looked back.

San Francisco to the East Bay

She lived in San Francisco proper for a number of years until meeting her husband, Bill, and moved to the East Bay where she has lived ever since.

Prior to working at Touro University California, Danyeur worked at various jobs in downtown San Francisco. She then held a job at HealthNet in Oakland as a contract specialist. When the opportunity arose to work closer to her home in Benicia, she interviewed with the Touro University California College of Pharmacy.

Coming from a corporate background, working in an academic environment has been both enjoyable and enlightening, especially getting to know Pharmacy students from all over the world.

Outside of working for the College of Pharmacy, Danyeur has a passion for rescuing and fostering dogs through the local Humane Society and has been doing so for more than 40 years. In addition, she enjoys walking her two rescue dogs, Rooney and Oscar, gardening, cooking and supporting her local synagogue.
