Passion to Help Others Develop Skills, Grow

She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist, a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, and an Advanced Practice Pharmacist. She has been active in academia for more than a decade. Having trained pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, junior faculty, and other health care professionals, she has a passion for helping others develop their skills and grow.

Doroudgar in her clinical practice currently serves as the Lead Clinical Psychiatric Pharmacist at Pathways to Wellness, a medical group that provides mental health services to those with moderate-to-severe mental illness in the Bay Area.

Since establishing this practice site in 2016, she has been able to integrate Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience pharmacy students and pharmacy residents as essential members of the health care team.

This clinical practice site allows for interprofessional experiences for pharmacy learners. Clinical pharmacists provide mental health services to the diverse and underserved patient population under a collaborative practice agreement. Delivering clinical medication management services to those in need, while teaching pharmacy learners, has long been an interest of Doroudgar.

Her research interests include areas of drugs and driving performance, pharmacy education, sleep research, and mental health of diverse populations. She is proud to have mentored pharmacy students, masters' students, pharmacy residents, and junior faculty in research design, implementation, biostatistics, presentation, and publication. She hopes to continue research endeavors in the upcoming years.

Doroudgar, when she is not working, enjoys spending time with her family. She likes beach vacations in Mexico, listening to Italian opera music, and going on local hikes. Her favorite hiking trail in the Bay Area is the California Coastal Trail in San Francisco. She enjoys movies of all genres, especially fantasy and adventure; her favorite movie of all time is "Big Fish."
