The program provides demonstrations on how to use a glucometer and the proper way to conduct foot exams. Diabetes supplies, nutritional and behavioral health aids are available to participants.

The courses are taught by students from Touro University California's College of Education and Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy and the College of Osteopathic Medicine. A licensed clinician is present to provide on-site supervision.

Registration is free to community members and up to one member of their families.

The program runs 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays. The next session is July 17.
