Touro University California’s (TUC) commitment to quality health care and education makes it a leading graduate institution in the Bay Area.  Acknowledged in 2012 by the California Primary Care Association for producing the most primary care clinicians in California, TUC continues to help meet the urgent need for more primary care physicians for our state.  A record 68 percent of graduates of the College of Osteopathic Medicine matched with primary care residences in 2014, the highest percentage of all graduating medical students in the Bay Area.  TUC, founded in 1997 and located at Mare Island in Vallejo, is a private, non-profit, Jewish institution and is dedicated to excellence in education, research, and healthcare.  The University’s professional programs in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, public health, nursing and education are all fully accredited.  Chief Executive Officer and Senior Provost for Touro University Western Division, Shelley Berkley, serves as the administrative and academic head of the California and Nevada campuses of Touro University.
