Touro University begins speaker series on social justice in public health

VALLEJO — Touro University California kicks off a six-part Social Justice in Public Health Speaker Series on Thursday.
The series will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. on select dates through Nov. 10 in Lander Hall, Lecture Hall A, on the campus.
Sessions are free to the community. Advance registration is required.
“We are excited to announce the lineup of speakers for our fall 2016 lecture series,”
said Gayle Cummings, program director of Touro University’s Public Health Program,
in a press release. “The series explores the connections between social justice and
public health and how they are affected by disadvantages, such as poverty, incarceration,
education, housing and environment.”
