New Touro Study Focuses on Sugar Consumption Among Obese Children

In a newly published study, researchers from Touro University and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) determined that calories from sugar are distinct from other calories in the way they metabolize to fat in the liver and then accumulate in the bloodstream.  This study further expands on previous research published last year in which researchers found that restricting sugar reversed a number of metabolic diseases in children.
