Vallejo’s Touro University to open metabolism research lab

In what’s designed as a collaborative effort between research institutions and communities around the North Bay, Touro University California (tu.edu) is opening a free health care clinic and research laboratory in Vallejo.

The Translational Research Clinic and Student Health Clinic are set to open Jan. 20. It will house the Vallejo campus' research lab, where extensive and in-depth work will be done on diabetes and metabolism. Most efforts will focus on childhood and adult obesity issues, like diabetes, and the effect of diet on metabolism.
