You may have noticed a new face around the office the past few weeks. That would have been Michael Monteil, a graduate student at Touro University in Vallejo. He has been interning with Circle of Sisters this spring.

Mike proved invaluable as he headed up a project for COS that involved creating, distributing, tabulating and analyzing a survey that was sent to the thousand-plus graduates of the Circle of Sisters program. This survey was designed to determine what long-term effects Circle of Sisters might have as the girls move on through their lives. Are they more resilient, staying longer in school, keeping out of trouble? These, and many other questions, were carefully framed by Mike and surveys sent out. He is currently tabulating the results.

In the photo, Mike has just delivered a nutrition talk to the girls at the Guerneville site and blended up fruit smoothies, to the smiles and delight of the girls. Thanks for all your hard work, Mike!
