Dr. Malouf was born and raised in Los Angeles before moving to the central valley of California for high school.  His mother is a child abuse attorney and his father a retired sound effects engineer.  Though he has spent much of his life living in southern California, Dr. Malouf really enjoys the atmosphere, people, and culture of the San Francisco Bay area.  Dr. Malouf enjoys playing and watching soccer, hiking, and traveling with his wife.

Dr. Malouf enjoys lecturing on many topics--predominantly pediatrics.  He co-directs the third year Pediatrics clerkship and leads web-based educational conferences on a weekly basis.  A special area of interest is hematology and hematologic oncology.  He is currently course co-coordinator for Fundamentals of Osteopathic Medicine, which includes the Hematology segment.  Finally, Dr. Malouf enjoys precepting students on their pediatric rotations in his clinic at the Solano County Family Health Services clinic which has partnered with Touro to provide excellent care to the people of Vallejo and Fairfield.

Dr. Malouf's research interests include distance learning/web-based education, patient simulation, and teaching/evaluating clinical reasoning. 

Completing a study supplied by Sanofi-Pasteur pharmaceuticals evaluating the acceptance of a novel method of influenza vaccine administration. 2011-2012
