As more people use mobile devices, such as Palms, Pocket PC's and SmartPhones, websites and applications designed specifically for these formats increases. This list, with links, indicates what applications are currently available to TU-CA library patrons on their mobile devices. As new resources are made available for mobile devices the links will be updated.

Access Pharmacy.
Access Pharmacy allows you to download chapters of their books to your Smartphone, Palm, PocketPC or iPad. In order to download book chapters from Access Pharmacy, you will need to navigate to one of Access Pharmacy’s textbooks on your computer. Once you have chosen a textbook, choose the chapter you want to download. There will be a link at the top of the chapter heading “Download for Handheld”. Click on this link. A separate window will pop up. Cut and paste the web address that appears in that window. Email this web address to the email account you use on your mobile device. From the email in your mobile device, click on the link. The chapter should open. The link leads to a full-text HTML file that has been specially optimized for handheld viewing by removing extra formatting, images, and tables. Clinical Pharmacology Mobile
Clinical Pharmacology Mobile is a mobile solution that provides fast, easy and convenient access to the content and features of the Clinical Pharmacology electronic drug reference database. Clinical Pharmacology Mobile runs on smartphones (such as iPhone/iPad/iTouch and Blackberry) and supports Safari, Android, Symbian, and Windows Mobile. Please email Christine Park, MLIS, the Electronic Resources Librarian, for a code and instructions on how to download Clinical Pharmacology Mobile.

Clinical Pharmacology On Hand
Click the "Downloads" button on the Clinical Pharmacology Hompage.Then click on the "Clinical Pharmacology OnHand" link. If you are on campus, you will then be able to download this program onto your Palm or Pocket PC. If you are trying to access this download from off campus, please email Christine Park, MLIS, the Electronic Resources Librarian, for a code and further instructions.

Diagnosaurus. (Free).
Click on the "Free Diagnosaurus for your handheld" link located in the bottom left corner of the webpage. A free download for Palms, Windows Mobile, and Blackberries. A $0.99 download for the iPhone.

EbscoHost Mobile.
The EBSCOhost Mobile application is designed for the smaller screens of mobile devices, and offers EBSCOhost features and functionality including Basic Searching, HTML and PDF Full Text, Limiters, E-mailing articles, Preferences and Multi-database Searching. For use on Android, BlackBerry, Dell Axiom, iPhone and Palm 750.

iMedicalApps.com.
The iMedicalApps Team consists of a group of physicians and medical students who provide commentary and reviews of mobile medical technology and applications. Their reviews and commentary are based on their own experiences in the hospital and clinic setting.

MD Consult Mobile.
MD Consult Mobile is a special version of the MD Consult website with features specifically designed for mobile access. You will need to set-up a free account before being able to login to MDConsult Mobile on your mobile device. To set up your account from on campus, go to MD Consult from a desktop or laptop computer, click the “Create an Account” link located in the upper right hand corner of the homepage, and follow the instructions for creating an account. (Accounts cannot be created from the mobile site.) From off campus, please contact Christine Park, MLIS, Electronic Resources Librarian, for help setting up your account. Your MD Consult username and password will then give you access to the mobile site. For use on any mobile device.

Please note that if you downloaded MD Consult's Pocket Consult, it has been decommissioned effective October 31, 2009. The site will continue to be accessible for one year, but will have limited functionality. Any software already installed on users devices will continue to work, but most functionality involving websites such as MD Consult will be eliminated, specifically: Saved searches, Journal Table of Contents updates and News.

MedCalc. (Free)
Available for the iPhone, Palm OS and Windows Mobile.

Medical Mnemonics. (Free)
A free, non-profit, searchable database of medical mnemonics to help remember the important details. Available on Web, PalmOS, PDF, AvantGo, and WAP

MICROMEDEX-Thomson Clinical Expert.
Click on the "Mobile" tab at the top of the website. Follow the directions listed on this page. After entering the authentication information, it will last for the current quarter on your device. At the end of the quarter you will need to return to this site and obtain a new username and password. For Palm OS, Pocket PC, iPhone, iPad, Droid and Blackberry devices.

OMM Guide for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The OMM Guide is a free medical resource that gives you quick and easy access to osteopathic medical assessment, techniques, and more. It was created by James Lamberg, OMS4 from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. It is a free download from the iTunes store.

PICOmaker (Free)
PICOmaker enables users to create and store queries in the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome) format for later reference. PalmOS.

Procedures Consult Mobile
Procedures Consult Mobile provides access to video (including the ability to view Video Key Steps), “Quick Review” text / illustrations, and checklist/universal protocol content for every procedure on the product within a user interface optimized for both 3G touch screen and non-touch screen mobile devices.

Procedures Consult Mobile is a web application accessible on any supported mobile device over a 3G wireless or Wi-Fi network. You will need to sign up for a free account through Procedures Consult on a desktop or laptop before being able to access Procedures Consult Mobile.

PsychiatryOnline.com Mobile.
You will be automatically redirected to the PsychiatryOnline.com mobile site when visiting PsychiatryOnline on a web-capable mobile device. Since your access is through TUC Library, use your personal "My PsychiatryOnline" account to log in. To create an account, go to PsychiatryOnline.com. from a desktop or laptop computer, click the “My PsychiatryOnline” link from the homepage, and follow the instructions for creating an account. (Accounts cannot be created from the mobile site.) Your “My PsychiatryOnline” username and password will then give you access to the mobile site. (The mobile site will prompt users who haven't yet created My PsychiatryOnline accounts with these instructions.) The following mobile operating systems are supported: BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, iPhone

PubMed for Handhelds.
PubMed for Handhelds automatically formats for Mobile Devices.

Stat!Ref MOBILE.
Log in as you normally do and most mobile devices will be automatically redirected to the mobile URL.
